Recently, Singapore University of Social Sciences (SUSS) hosted an exclusive workshop titled “A Deep Dive into Decentralized Physical Infrastructure Networks (DePIN),” featuring Leo Lin, the founder of arkreen. The event took place at the SUSS campus, where Leo engaged with SUSS students, faculty, researchers, and enthusiasts from the Arkreen community in a profound discussion on the crucial role and future trends of IoT technology within the Web3 ecosystem.
During the workshop, Leo delivered an insightful speech that encouraged young students and technology professionals at SUSS to actively explore technological innovation and commercial practices in the realm of IoT within the Web3 paradigm. His presentation triggered lively discussions among the audience, who thoroughly examined the challenges DePIN, a new emerging track in the Web3 ecosystem, might encounter, as well as how key IoT technologies can assist in overcoming these challenges.
Leo Lin, the founder of arkreen, is an expert in the emerging field of DePIN. With 20 years extensive experience in IoT, digital security, and leadership, Leo has made significant contributions to the convergence of IoT, blockchain, and artificial intelligence. He has collaborated with major telecommunications operators globally, spearheading research in IoT+Blockchain innovation and establishing open-source IoT+Blockchain framework BoAT(Blockchain of AI Things). Recognized as an honorary fellow of SUSS, Leo actively promotes cutting-edge technologies and sustainability, driving integrated innovation in the DePIN and ReFi domains. His expertise and commitment make him the ideal speaker to share insights on IoT in the Web3 ecosystem.
During the workshop, Leo delivered a keynote speech titled “A Deep Dive into DePIN: The Next Evolution of IoT for the Web3 Ecosystem.” His presentation addressed key questions at the intersection of blockchain and IoT, two exciting areas of innovation.
